Ferntree Gully, Container Pool
After being involved with the construction of this home 5 years ago, we were absolutely delighted to be asked to work on this exciting and once in a lifetime project. The initial design phase was almost too crazy to comprehend, but having Mawdsley Building Design and Wright Design on board was crucial to a successful outcome. This 20ft shipping container pool, by being situated 7 meters above ground level and weighing around 14 tonnes, provided a unique challenge for the engineering team. Combining this with considerable geotechnical and fire rating requirements as well, the design team worked tirelessly to tick all the boxes.
It’s an honour being trusted to bring this project to life, when many said it simply couldn’t be done. It will certainly be a feature project for our company for many years to come.
